Our school Library boasts a very wide selection of items catering for all ages from Kindergarten borrowers to Year 6 students. Each class visits the Library with their home teacher once a week for book exchange but we also offer students the opportunity to change their books at lunchtimes on four days of the week.
We promote an interest in reading from a range of Fiction and Non Fiction sources and continously change displays of different authors and illustrators work, particularly our very talented WA writers. Many students also enjoy the ever changing promotions of books related to topical events. Recently the "Titanic" books have been re-borrowed as quickly as they are returned.
Each year we participate in the WA Young Reader's Book Award and Children's Book Council promotions which are a great stimulus for encouraging reading.
Throughout each term teachers borrow a range of theme and silent reading books for their classrooms which further extends the use of the Library resources.
