The objectives of the Swanbourne Primary School (SPS) P&C are to promote the interests of the school through:
- cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community;
- assisting in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school or schools; and
- the fostering of community interest in educational matters.
The P&C brings parents together to share information and views; assist the school in building positive attitudes to students and their families; and help raise funds to provide extra resources.
We invite and encourage all parents to become involved in any way they can. The P&C provides an excellent opportunity to meet other parents and children within the school and ensure that each family feel part of the community of Swanbourne Primary School.
Minutes and Meetings
P&C Meetings are held in the school staff room, twice a term on Wednesday of weeks 3 and 8 at 6:30pm. All parents are welcome.
Reports are received from the sub-committee coordinators and P&C representatives in other areas. P&C meetings also include a report from the Principal, which provides an insight into the educational and operational requirements of the school. This allows parents to openly communicate with the Principal and better understand the many issues with what schools have to deal with. The forum also allows the Principal to gather meaningful feedback from parents.
