Parking and Road Safety

Many school community members have worked hard to ensure the safe movement of traffic in and around the school during peak periods.

The safety of our students is paramount. We ask all parents to assist the school in ensuring the safety of all members of the school community.

Please also observe the 40km speed limit around the school perimeter. We are very fortunate to have excellent parking facilities at this school. Many of our school community have agreed it is unreasonable to expect to always find a parking spot in the car park during peak times. There are several adjacent streets where parking is allowed within 100 to 400m of the school. A supervised crosswalk is available on Narla Road opposite the upper parent car park. An attendant is on duty from 8:00am to 9:00am and 2:45pm to 3:45pm every day. Parents and students are urged to utilise the crosswalk.

For older students, if possible, we suggest that the ‘pick up’ be delayed by 5 or 10 minutes. The ‘Kiss and Drop’ zone is a practical alternative. The ‘Kiss and Drop’ zone operates from the front of the school and is strictly for students from Years 1- 6. Please keep the traffic free flowing and do not get out of your car. On most occasions this zone is supervised in the afternoons by staff from 3.10pm to 3.30pm. Staff are present to assist the management and safety of our students

The lower staff car park is for staff use only and is not to be used by parents for picking up or dropping off children. We ask all parents to assist the school in ensuring the safety of all members of the school community.

We try to encourage:

  • that a courtesy be extended to parents of kindergarten, pre-primary and year one students. These parents are required to collect their child from the classroom. We ask that you please ensure that they have priority over the car park.

In advance, we thank you for your support.
